App development
Apps that
draw people in.
App development has been a core part of what we do at Blue Pony for a long time. We’ve built iOS and Android apps, touchscreen kiosk applications, trade show tools, and more.
What we build.
Apps for the phone in someone’s pocket, the touchscreen on a trade show floor, and the places in between.
Mobile apps
iOS and Android apps, published to the app stores.
Touchscreen kiosks
Kiosk applications built for the trade show floor, with smooth animation and a 3D feel.
Trade show tools and games
Interactive experiences, up to full arcade-style games, that pull crowds into a booth.
How an app project runs.
From the first conversation to the updates that follow launch. The steps are the same whether the app ends up on a phone, a kiosk, or somewhere else.
Discovery
We start with the problem: who will use the app, what they need to get done, and where it will run.
Platform decisions
iOS, Android, both, a touchscreen kiosk, or something else. The choice follows from where your users are.
Prototyping
You see and react to how the app will work before the full build begins.
Build cycles
The app comes together in short cycles, with working versions to review along the way.
Device testing
Testing on the real phones, tablets, and kiosk hardware the app will run on.
Launch
The route depends on where the app lives.
- App Store and Google Play submission
- Kiosk or show floor installation
Post-launch updates
Fixes, operating system updates, and new features after launch.
Three apps, three very different places.
A mobile app for industrial buyers, a kiosk for a trade show floor, and an arcade game for an expo booth.
Mobile app for iOS and Android
Chromaflo
A mobile app on both app stores that lets industrial buyers search colorant options through a custom color wheel interface. What used to be a binder-flipping exercise became something fast, visual, and easy to use.
Touchscreen kiosk app
Voss
Voss is a leading tier one global supplier of innovative line and connection technology for vehicle systems. We turned part of their existing website into a polished touchscreen kiosk app for the trade show floor, with smooth animations and a 3D feel.
Arcade game for an expo booth
Hill’s Pet Nutrition
A full arcade-style game built from scratch, with original characters and aviation-inspired brand motifs, that pulled crowds into Hill’s booth at a veterinary industry expo.
Every one of those projects started with a real problem and ended with something people actually enjoyed using. That’s the bar we hold ourselves to.
